It tells the story of three very different families who are struggling to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they think will solve all their problems. I was surprised to see the show rated so low, but it made more sense after seeing many of the reviews explaining how they didn’t get past the first episode. The show is a slow-burn mystery that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it funny and entertaining with a tone specific to Liz Feldman that I like. I really like the cast and everyone’s performances. I wasn’t initially sold on Ray Romano due to my own biases (I couldn’t for the life of me separate him from Everybody Loves Raymond), but that wore off pretty quickly. All the different characters have their own side stories that form a tangled web of chaos that gradually, though not completely, unravels. I was pretty much engaged with the story by the last episode, even though I developed the main plot very early on. I’m not mad about it, though. I would love to watch more of this show and I really hope they get a second season..
