Story

Eva (Odessa Young), a 19th-century widow, is faced with an impossible choice when, in the middle of a particularly cruel winter, a ship sinks off the coast of her isolated fishing village. Eva and her crew must choose between rescuing the castaways or surviving the winter on the last of their food. Confronted with the consequences of their choices and plagued by guilt, the residents struggle with a growing sense of dread and begin to believe that everyone is being punished for their choices.
